Job Summary
Our client, a Federal Government Department in Canberra is seeking the services of an SAP FI Functional Specialist with Baseline clearance.
Contract : Jan 2018 to 30 Jun 2018 (with options to extend for a further 2*12 months)
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assessing core business problems;
- Designing and developing appropriate solutions (design and configure);
- Preparing functional specifications;
- Status reporting to delivery manager;
- Developing, maintaining and unit testing system components;
- Developing new and updating existing system design documentation;
- Designing SAP solutions that support efficient business operations;
- Planning and monitoring delivery of SAP Finance solutions;
- Supporting business operations and troubleshooting production issues;
Preparing project related documentation during different stages of the project.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following skills/responsibilities:
- Extensive SAP FICO experience;
- 5 to 10 years' SAP experience;
- Implementation experience on least 3 full cycle SAP projects with the relevant modules;
- Integration experience between multiple SAP modules;
Ability to:
- translate business needs into functional requirements and design;
- deliver business requirements using standard SAP functionality;
- rigorously test system solutions with real business scenarios;
- work in a continually changing environment;
- work closely with colleagues and in a team environment;
- adapt and apply existing techniques and methodologies;
- Excellent analytical and communication skills including the ability to articulate IT trends to management and staff;
- Ability to adapt and apply existing techniques and methodologies;
- Demonstrated experience in training and knowledge transfer.
- Experience working in large government organisations; (Desirable)
- Knowledge and experience in PSCD, Project Accounting and CATS would be an advantage. (Desirable)
