Description
An opportunity for a role in the IC Propulsion Capacity Planning team, who are Embedded with the Commodity Purchasing teams, and are responsible for supporting buyers in supplier capacity planning activity at commodity level. Coordinating with a range of people both within and external to Jaguar Land Rover - from Product Development and Sales specialists to suppliers and colleagues in Commodity Purchasing the individual will be responsible for communicating a single source of truth of volumes for sourcing and manage capacity verification exercises across key commodities. Managing the relationship for the IC Propulsion Capacity Planning team with all Commodity Purchase areas.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Manage relationship with commodity purchasing representing IC Propulsion Capacity Planning team.
- Support buyers with long term volume planning requests. Ensure these are delivered within the two week service level agreement.
- Work closely with buyers and suppliers, where necessary, to ensure JLRs volume requirements have been understood and suppliers are reacting to them.
- Support Purchasing input to Business Planning Process Interpret the Volume Planning Data to understand its implications for the supply base within commodity area. Consolidate data into senior stakeholder reports and escalate where required.
- Coordinate with the Programme Purchasing teams to manage communication to supplier base on all future capacity requirements,the IC Propulsion Capacity Planning team will be required to support the Programme Purchasing teams with volume related studies relevant to their commodity both within JLR & externally to the supply base. Support process improvement to ensure volume planning process embeds learning and automation, in readiness for future IT enablement.

1) Strong Microsoft office skilles - particularly in Excel
2)Possesses outstanding analytical skills and demonstrate prior cross functional working experience.
3)Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas Business Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Technical Assistance, with exposure to best practices from the automotive industry as well as wider commercial environment.
