Manufacturing Engineer/Limerick/9 months Contract/28 to 38 EUR (Per Hour)

Position Description and Responsibilities

  • Acts as an advocate for continuous improvement activities using statistical techniques, Lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma, design experimentation for process and equipment, to achieve targets and cost savings.
  • Take the lead in troubleshooting on equipment while providing Coaching and Mentoring to other engineering staff. Serves as a resource to other engineering disciplines in facility.
  • Will have a prime role with respect to equipment and process safety ensuring standards are met or exceeded at all times.
  • Utilise Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Methodical approach to problem solving Training and mentoring:
  • Develop and improve planned maintenance regimes
  • Train maintenance engineers on planned maintenance regimes
  • Improve fault diagnosis skills within engineering Dealing with equipment suppliers and service providers:
  • Upgrade existing equipment to improve Quality
  • Be aware of impact of new products on manufacturing equipment

Other Skills, Experience and Education

Machine safety regulations

Involved in machine commissioning

Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems awareness. Control systems experience

Experience in process transfer or large project role

Non Technical Skills and Additional Details

Demonstration of sound methodology in fault finding techniques

Experience in process transfer or large project roles in medical device environment

Project management of complex

Previous experience in engineering support roles in a high volume manufacturing environment

Previous experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment

Validation

GMP

Project Management/Leadership skills

Equipment and process safety aspect to EU standards

Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Demonstrated Leadership experience

Medical Devices or other FDA regulated industries experience

Training mentoring other technical staff

Good communication and reporting skills both verbal and written to allow work to be carried out over a shift change and beyond

Demonstrate a high quality of work and attention to detail

Persistence to attain resolution to problems

Results orientated, attention to detail

Strong Leadership abilities, with a mentoring approach to team building, training and project leadership

A first class communicator

Design review experience

Project management

Black Belt certified

DOE Experience

MTBF, MTTR. OEE

Lean Manufacturing experience

Ergonomics Methodology/Certification Requirements

Engineering degree with experience in a production environment
