Description
Our client, a well-known financial services organisation based in Glasgow, require the services of a Contract Procurement specialist to assist on the GDPR programme with a number of contract/supplier initiatives. This person will sit within the wider GDPR programme and provide high quality procurement and contract management expertise and advice to ensure the organisations' contracts are GDPR compliant.
Typically, the successful candidate will be involved in:
*Reviewing current contracts and amending them within specific guidelines to ensure compliance with GDPR.
*Engaging with and negotiating with suppliers, Legal and Relationship Managers to ensure acceptance of changes.
*Identifying and escalating contractual risk.
*Educating internal stakeholders on the need to amend supplier contracts for GDPR and deal with queries from internal stakeholders and third party suppliers.
In order to be successful in this exciting new opportunity, you MUST be able to demonstrate the following:
*Relevant background and experience working as a Procurement Specialist/Contract Manager (ideally within the banking sector)
*Ability to understand contractual & legal documentation and identification of key issues
*Appreciation and understanding of data protection and GDPR
*Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
You will have exemplary communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and senior management where necessary. Ideally you will possess a CIPD qualification, be available for a start in January and be able to demonstrate everything mentioned above in your CV Application.
