Job Description

Joining BAE Systems in Portsmoith to lead Supply Chain Governance through a period of organisational change and ensure the Team operates in full compliance with regulation/processes.

Responsibilities
1- Ensures effective management and compliance with the BAE Systems Maritime Services Business Management System for Supply Chain

2 - Develop and maintain coordination of root cause analysis, corrective, preventive actions and customer complaints, including analysis of actions taken to ensure effectiveness and assess opportunities for wider application.

3 - Development and deployment of an appropriate Balanced Scorecard in each of the three business areas.

The Individual
Sound understanding of highly-regulated industries.
Practical understanding of the partnering between Government and private sector.
Broad understanding of Matrix management in a complex operational environment.
Detailed understanding of Business Management Systems, Operational Frameworks and Operational Assurance process preferred.
Detailed knowledge, understanding and operation of operational programmes gained within blue chip companies including developing policies and processes, risk management, infrastructure and performance metrics to fully support implementation and operation
Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and principles of Supply Chain
Understanding of micro and macro governance requirements impacting the Supply Chain Function.
Expert stakeholder engagement, verbal and written communication skills with a strong appreciation of the impact of visual communications.
Ability to self-start, develop plans and monitor progress on an on-going basis. Highly organized.
Action-oriented with excellent meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to interact across all levels of management.
Good listening skills and the ability to take large amounts of information and extract most critical information.
Highly credible with internal customers and external suppliers, viewed as a leader by their peers.
Results focused
Team oriented - must be able to work as part of a cross functional team to deliver end-to-end Supply Chain solutions across the business delivering optimal performance
Degree qualified in an appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience.
CQI Chartered Professional preferred
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
