Description

Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager
Location: Manchester
Duration:3-6 months
Pay Rate: £190 - £200 per day (Inside of IR35)

Job purpose:
The post holder will take a lead role in developing and delivering multi-channel marketing initiatives for client's growing commercial service, client Scientific Advice. Using a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts, they will devise new ways of communicating with established and potential customers.
They will work closely with the client Scientific Advice team to plan and develop content and materials that explain how the various products and services can benefit customers and the wider healthcare system.
The post holder will, use qualitative and quantitative reporting on performance of client marketing products and campaigns. They will monitor products and services used across the life sciences industry and healthcare sectorto look to improve client products and services, identify target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate Communications, the marketing manager will help to deliver client's goal to engage with and support the life sciences industry in developing products that improve health and care.
This is a very interesting and creative opportunity in a supportive, learning environment and would suit someone with a strong marketing background within a healthcare or life sciences sectors.
The post holder will also act at a senior level, providing briefing for the Board and other senior staff, and may deputise for the Associate Director.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Establish clear objectives for campaigns and activities to deliver client's Scientific Advice's business plan.
Understand and give consideration to client's wider communications and marketing activities, priorities and goals. Align work with the wider communications directorate.
Gain a clear understanding of client Scientific Advice's audiences and customers.
Manage budget to make sure spend is prioritized effectively within the agreed amounts.
Create a marketing strategy (including positioning, thought leadership, brand awareness, and lead generation) with tailored activities and a compelling narrative in support of client's Scientific Advice's business development.
Work with senior managers to develop their understanding of and support for marketing and engagement activities and the implementation of the client brand and the work of client Scientific Advice.
Ensure activities are planned and coordinated with client's communications content plan to support integrated marcoms - multi channel communications including PR, direct marketing, social media, and case studies.
Use insight and evaluation to increase reach and impact of activities and campaigns. Commission and collate audience insight from internal and external sources, to find the best marketing products, channels and formats for each audience, to achieve client Scientific Advice's project goals.
Work with specialist external agencies for content generation, branding, events management as required.
In addition to being a strong and confident communicator, able to interact with senior decision-makers, the post holder will have a strong awareness and appreciation of the operating environment in which client works.
They will understand the needs and behaviours of organisations that work with client.They will be responsible for providing clear and insightful briefing to senior staff and Board members, concise and well-researched input to marketing and communications activities, and appropriate and timely briefing on communications issues as they arise.
