Description

For our client we are looking for a Software Architect (SWA)

Ework is direct supplier to our client - there is no middle layer. This means that we have a good contact with procurement and in many cases, know the stakeholder and his needs.
The SWA is responsible for the IT architecture in solutions delivered by the project, significant technical decisions, and that design and development take place according to the agreed standards and instructions. The SWA is a part of the PM team and responsible for the Analysis & Design discipline. The SWA will participate in the project's PMT meetings and of course in the project status meetings.

In the agile project the SWA may function either as an architect or as a part of the team. The SWA will participate in the meetings prescribed by the agile model.
Tasks:
Accountable for:
- Providing the basis on which technical decisions will be made in the project
- Producing/updating the SAD document, SDD document, EAA document and IT Security Checklist as well as obtaining the necessary approvals
- Identifying the technical risks of the project and mitigating possibly by way of recommendation to the project's steering group
- Measuring non-functional requirements
- Decomposition, estimation and detailed planning of design and development activities in the project
- Producing the design specifications by using the agreed templates according to the agreed plan
- Reviewing the code/technical solution, including quality assuring that the quality of the supplied code performed in connection with the development meets our standards at various platforms
- Delivering IT technical security roles/rights (new/modified) timely for deployment
- Producing the agreed IT artefacts
- Producing an impact analysis regarding change requests
- Coordinating technical dependencies towards other projects/areas
- Coordination with other (concurrent) projects to avoid that solutions (design/development) will not collide, thus achieving a possible synergy among the projects
- Handling technical production problems during the hyper care period
Contributing to:
- The allocation of resources so the Project Manager may receive the right IT resources and business resources for design and development
- The project plan
- The scope statement.
- The transfer document
- The IT Quality Checklist
Responsible for:
- Disclosing technical needs/requirements to the project and ensuring that these will be included in the project scope
- Validating technical decisions and taking care of the communication and implementation of them
- Producing recommendations for the project†s steering group. The recommendations concern the proposed IT solutions/IT architecture of the project as well as provide information to the Project Manager who will present the recommendation to the steering group in case the SWA cannot attend the steering group meeting
- Sparring with the designers/developers regarding the solution
- Reviewing the project†s design documents and participating in review meetings
- Approving the project†s design documents and participating in approval meetings
- Following up on the design and development activities and reporting on progress and remaining work by using the NLP approved tools for the purpose
- Ensuring that technical challenges will be solved, including problems arising in the test environment (eg batches failing/stopping, time outs and server problems), ie retrieves information, coordinates, involves relevant persons and follows up on problems until they are solved
- Securing possible PORT orders in case of infrastructural changes. The Project Manager is the overall person responsible and the SWA is the technical responsible person
- Supplying input to and participating in ITQC meetings
- Supplying input to and participating in delivery meetings
- Ensuring that relevant Remedy Tickets in connection with the production launch of the project†s deliveries will be established/followed up on/implemented
- Participating in the transfer from project to IT operation
