An exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is highly motivated and enjoys the challenge of leadership within a large team.

To be successful in this role you will have strong leadership skills and demonstrate through your supervisory/management experience, an ability to motivate and manage day to day our multi-disciplinary Council Tax and Benefits teams.

Responsible for the operation of frontline service delivery, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills and ability to manage a variety of incoming work. Experience of working in the collection of local authority revenues and/or the provision of a local authority Benefits services or customer service environment for a minimum of 3 years is essential.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to quality and performance and be enthusiastic about new initiatives and forthcoming changes.

A relevant degree or equivalent qualification or continuous relevant experience is essential as a detailed knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Scheme Law and processes relating to Council Tax is required. IRRV membership (technician or equivalent) would be a distinct advantage.
