Description
Leading organisation requires experienced Project Manager to deliver large, multiple, systems implementations/commissioning.
I am particularly interested to hear from Project Managers, from any industry/background, if health experience would be an advantage that have specific expertise in large IT systems implementation/commissioning; not application development project delivery BUT specifically the implementation/commissioning side; able to manage a complex implementation plan into a facility supporting/benefiting thousands of users
.
Other skills and capabilities required are as follows:
- Extensive knowledge and practice of formal project management methods and approaches;
- Effective risk/issue management with demonstrated ability to implement mitigation strategies, as appropriate;
- Team player, who can work extensively with other senior roles in the ICT Workstream;
- Excellent project planning and resource scheduling skills (MS Project);
- Effective leadership and proven ability to deliver through others, in particular contracted 3rd party organisations;
- 'Hands on' and 'can do' attitude to problem solving;
- Interpersonal skills that demonstrate an appropriate level of flexibility when dealing with people and issues;
- Valuing differences and diversity and facilitating cooperation and partnerships within and external to the team;
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills when dealing with issues and addressing problems;
- Well-developed presentation skills with the ability to translate information for varying audiences;
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear messaging that is tailored to the audience; and
- Ability to work with tight timelines without impacting on quality of deliverables
This is an initial contract opportunity of 6 months, with anticipation of further extension; working on a very prevalent WA programme.
