Objectives and scope of services

As part of my clients Security strategy, they are continuing to expand the coverage of their Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform. To increase this coverage, they need to onboard log feeds from a number of additional devices across all of their regions.

They require a Project Manager that should have demonstrable experience of delivering a SIEM solution within a complex global organisation. The Project Manager will be responsible for the on boarding and delivering of the solution to multiple locations/regions as defined by the program manager/project office.

  • Ensure the required assets are fully onboarded and that the appropriate use cases can be enabled for these location(s)
  • Manage the project throughout its life cycle: Execution, Monitoring, Controlling and Closing (transition of the solution to the required internal team ensuring a fully supported service is in place).
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place to support the solution for business operation.
  • Ensure the project adheres to the internal project governance structure and project artifacts are created in a timely manner. Propose governance and processes adjustments if needed.
  • Financial management of the project to ensure it is delivered within approved budget.
  • Communicate relevant and timely information to stakeholders to ensure visibility of progress, budget/expenditure, risks and issues.
  • Manage communications, negotiations and potential conflicts with all stakeholders.
  • Produce project status with KPIs: deliverable's, schedule, quality, organisation, risks, change, and budget.
  • Manage project and steering committees.
  • Manage the project team and provide clear directions.
  • Ensure appropriate tools and processes are followed to track minutes, actions, risk, issues, and decisions.
  • Identify and track risks, issues and escalations on projects and ensure appropriate action plans are established and actively monitored.
