Financial Accountant - IFRS 2 - Share-Based Payments

My client is a household retailer, and I am currently recruiting on their behalf for a Financial Accountant. Working within the Group functions team, this role will provide financial expertise and support on all areas of the client's Wealth Plan.
This includes accounting for all share-based payment remuneration transactions across the Group as well as cash bonuses within the UK. Whilst primarily being a control role, this position also provides an opportunity to get involved in aspects of business partnering and FP&A while further building technical expertise
Responsibilities
- Complete budgeting for share based payments cost for all subsidiaries and cash bonus for the UK.
- Complete accurate and timely modelling and statutory accounts disclosures
- Complete the relevant share-based payments section of the Year-End and Half-Year results
- Complete the share-based payments sections of the UK and international subsidiaries statutory account
- Provide share-based payments support for the international accounting teams
- Work with the technical team and the auditors to ensure technical knowledge is up-to-date and to produce accurate information in line with current accounting standards
- Provide insight to our senior management and other stakeholders to enable them to make decisions
Skills and Experience Required
- Fully Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent
- Experienced Financial Accountant from a large corporate background
- Statutory reporting experience
- Year and Month end processes
- Experience and understanding of IFRS 2 or accounting Share-Based Payments
