Description
This position reports to the Senior Manager PPM - Operations Finance Controller, in the area of Manufacturing and Warehouse operations finance. It is accountable for the provision of all financial services and advice relating to this area. Scope of OPEX spend will depend on the plant, but will be up to $70m, in addition to the coverage of the local Raw Materials spend up to $520m.
A talented and engaged finance professional seeking to develop financial skills within an Operational environment, The Prof PPM - Operations Finance should deliver insight supporting the execution of the business strategies, robust compliance routines and effective financial processes, as outlined in the Finance Vision. This role is a key business partner for the local management team.
Responsibilities;
*The provision of financial or operational performance analysis of the plant, warehousing and delivery operations within site management responsibility
*The critical evaluation of all Local CAPEX and OPEX spend proposals, to ensure efficient and effective use of company resources.
*Be a Finance expert in a designated area, representing the Finance team at a cluster level in various projects and initiatives in either the finance or operation environment
*Track monitor and publish the impact of all spends and major projects to ensure appropriate control is maintained and highlighting the need for any corrective action to management
*Supporting the execution of all central finance strategies as part of the site finance team
*Ensure that legal, financial and local policy is adhered to
*Develop appropriate practices to foster a culture of compliance and control at plant
*As appropriate, develop efficient and effective financial processes, liaising with all relevant parties such as outsourced providers, Finance and local plant teams.
*Develop the local understanding of the financial environment via coaching, publication and training of local teams
