Role: Finance Manager
Location: Edinburgh
Rate: up to £365 per day
Duration: 6 months
Our client, a large financial services company, are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their team based in Edinburgh.
This role will be working on the Finance Ring Fencing Programme and will be required to assist in the delivery of change required to implement the rules as set out in the Banking Reform Bill 2013. The act/legislation requires Financial Institutions to implement a 'ring-fence' around retail, high street banking activities, separating it from the riskier investment banking operations.
The role would be responsible for testing commercial banking management information and providing process improvements in relation to regulatory reporting.
Skills/experience required:
* Previous experience in Finance Manager role, not assistant level
* Qualified accountant preferred, but not essential. Part qualified or qualified by experience would be considered.
* Strong management information and process improvement experience as well as some testing experience
* Ability to carry out analytical reviews on management information, investigate discrepancies and push back on stakeholders
* Delivering to BAU on a monthly basis so need to be able to work in a fast paced environment, work on their own initiative and have strong communication/stakeholder management skills
* Must have strong excel/access experience and be confident dealing with large amounts of data.
* Need to be able to confidently interpret balance sheets
* Regulatory reporting experience (desirable, but not essential)
