Headquartered in Edinburgh, UK and part of the US-based AbacusNext group of companies, HotDocs words with global banks, international corporations, government agencies, law firms and enterprises of all sizes to reduce risk, enhance compliance, improve quality and increase efficiency when producing documents.

The Role:
HotDocs requires a Global Head of Marketing on a fixed term contract basis to lead the marketing team and deliver the annual marketing strategy. The fixed term contract will commence in March 2018 and last for a duration of around 9 months with a possible extension of an extra couple of months. We may consider contracting with a freelance marketing consultant on a part-time basis for this role, dependent on experience and time available.

Reporting to the HotDocs COO and collaborating with AbacusNext marketing colleagues, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for HotDocs.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the successful delivery of the 2018 marketing strategy and tactical plan
Managing the global marketing team to meet agreed lead generation and marketing-driven sales pipeline targets, in addition to other KPIs
Working closely with senior management and sales colleagues to provide the marketing tools required to meet commercial objectives
Providing leadership and managing the day to day activities of the marketing team
Undertaking continuous analysis of marketing activities, measuring success, reviewing tactics, continually improving to achieve and exceed agreed results
Championing the HotDocs brand and ensuring that brand values and corporate message are conveyed in all communications, both external and internal
Ensuring that competitive landscape and business technology trends are monitored and acted upon as required
Working with colleagues, partners and external experts to generate content that ensures that remains informative for users and a solid lead generator for the company
Taking a strategic management role, in conjunction with relevant colleagues, in systems used to manage the business and provide intelligence on the health of marketing activity
Representing marketing as part of the extended senior management team
Managing and maximising on the agreed marketing annual marketing budget
Aligning with the business development team to ensure accurate and accelerated lead qualification
Supporting HotDocs partners to generate HotDocs leads
Developing the marketing strategy and tactical plan for 2019

The skills and experience required in the successful candidate are:
Minimum of ten years experience in a business to business marketing role; three years minimum as a senior marketing leader
Demonstrable track record of successfully creating and delivering marketing strategies and tactical plans
Proven success in managing a team to deliver agreed marketing results
Well versed in successful demand generation and building sales pipeline
Experience of working within the technology sector, particularly enterprise software, extremely advantageous
