Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading public sector clients.
We are looking for a Management Accountant based in Swansea on an initial 2 month contract with a very high chance of multiple extensions.
The Role:
The Management Accounting Lead Support role will be work alongside the Subject Matter Expert for
Management Accounting. To provide specific support in identifying issues, delivery of reporting
solutions and assist in resolution of outstanding Management Accounting (MA) team issues.
The post holder will also support the next stage of the project: identifying where design improvements
are required or where MA requirements have not been fully met in the initial phase of migration.
Will act as the key point of contact for all MA related matters, supporting design, testing and implementation
planning.
The role may also have responsibility for covering some aspects of the Head of Management
Accounting & Business partner role, to provide backfill cover. This may include production of board
reporting, financial planning and financial year end processes.
Essential Skills Needed:
Qualified Accountant with at least 3 year's experience in a management accounting role
Experience of working with a Finance system implementation
Demonstrable experience of end to end financial processes
Experience and knowledge in the production of management reporting (preferably in SAP)
An understanding of finance structures, hierarchies and chart of account configuration
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to relay complex financial concepts to a
wide variety of audiences
Demonstrable experience of the preparation and production of financial plans and financial management accounts
