Global Stress Testing and Finance Communications Analyst - HSBC

This is an initial 6 month contract based in London

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to facilitate high standard of communications and training across Global Finance COO teams and provide specific operational support to Global Stress Testing teams.

The main responsibilities include:

Global Stress Testing (GST)

  • Manage all key communication activities and events - GST town hall, global calls, team offsite, exchange sessions, lunch & learn sessions, etc
  • Manage the editorial calendar for GST SharePoint site and monthly newsletters. This will involve liaising with a broad range of stakeholders across regions, global functions and global businesses to ensure latest developments and stories are captured and shared effectively
  • Support the monthly round-up for People & Connectivity as shared with Central Stress testing teams
  • Manage Training requests for Central Stress Testing team including the Development Opportunity Register, as part of the Career Development Initiative
  • Proactively manage the short-term assignment process, both in and out of Stress Testing teams
  • Oversee the GST SharePoint site including managing updates and distribution lists, working closely with Risk and Finance communications teams as well as Global Finance Operations teams
  • Support the Stress Testing execution communications process, working closely with the Stress Testing PMO team

Facilitate business management activities such as supporting the fortnightly GST Management Committee and Business Continuity Planning requirements

Global Finance COO:

  • Managing monthly and quarterly measurement for events and MI for One Finance
  • On a quarterly basis, working with key Finance stakeholders to collating key achievements that will be published on ONE Finance
  • Supporting communication logistics for major Finance events such as Global Finance Town Halls, COO Town Halls, Global Finance Trade Shows, etc.
  • Budget management and invoicing, vendor management activities

Experience/Education

  • Proven track record in developing, managing and implementing effective employee communication strategies
  • Proven experience of working with and advising senior management, influencing key internal and external stakeholders within a large, complex organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective
  • Analytical, financially numerate and commercially aware
  • Focused, self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Authoritative, self-confident, credible
  • Typical qualifications would include a Bachelor's degree/equivalent experience and the role holder may have professional qualifications in communications
