Proteus Europe is searching for a Technical Project Manager with knowledge of Dutch and French available to work in a 6 months contract in Brussels.

Your New role:-
Senior Technical Project Manager
- Coordinate, manage and deliver projects in scope, time and budget
- Clean I-PaaS projects (I-PaaS = Infrastructure and Platform as a Service department)
- Deliver I-PaaS part for business projects
- Responsible to create a business case in collaboration with the customer and translate it to a project request including limitations, risks, dependencies, ...
- Builds a network with Ypto specialists and the customer to ensure that the follow-up and execution of the project receive the necessary attention
- Drafting of specifications, in collaboration with technical specialists, and the purchasing department
- Evaluate the proposals of the various suppliers, in cooperation with the other stakeholders within the NMBS
- Determine and record the detailed scope, planning and budget and communicate this to the project team (kick-off)
- Ensures validation of the solutions and estimation of the effort and costs by experts and team members
- Schedule the transfer to support and provide an estimate of the support cost
- Communicates on a regular basis about the progress, the agreed scope and adapted, realistic planning including resources and competences
- Follow-up of the financial result with the tools made available for this

- Manages and monitors the risks and problems with the project team and escalates in time to management and customer if necessary. Look for solutions with the project team and discuss this with the customer and if necessary, the management
- Follows change request during the project and provides approval during a steering committee or change control board before executing
- Ensures coordination between the external and internal teams
- Supports audit activities if necessary
- Follows recommendations and procedures of PMO in preparation for the ISO9000 certification
- Keeps the business project manager (or appointed representative of the customer) regularly informed, in a transparent and honest manner, about the progress and achievements of the project
- Gives monthly update via Project Status Report to B-IT and the business
- Ensures a monthly follow-up of the actual cost, effort, progress
- Prepares steerco meetings
- Does a closing meeting with the parties involved, including the customer and the project team and documents the - lessons learned-
- Ensures the transfer to Operation and support Team and ensures that the necessary documentation and training is given.
- Creates a Project capacity planning
- Ensures a positive atmosphere in the project team and ensures efficient and qualitative delivery
- Seeks consensus within a team of experienced professionals
- Resolves conflicts
- Monitors the teams effort and communicates progress
- Anticipates project capacity needs and problems
- Launches the demand to recruit external resources if necessary
Your Skills and Qualifications:-
Essential Skills:-
Knowledge of ICT infrastructure in general
- Experience with compiling RFPs
- Experience with delivering projects in a less structured environment
- Master IT/Computer science or equated with experience
- Certification in Prince II or PMI foundation level; at least 1 certificate in ITIL, Scrum, ECM or SAP.
- Good knowledge of IT platforms, software and IT solutions within your domain
- Waterfall and Agile framework
- Knowledge of Dutch and French is necessary
Desirable Skills:-
- Experience with project management in Exchange projects is an advantage
- Experience with public procurement processes is an advantage
- Project experience within a public company is an advantage
