Consultant - Workplace Pensions
My high profile client requires an experienced consultant to understake work into the governance of contract based workplace pension schemes. Critical to this work is an assessment of the functioning of existing governance structures, relative to their roles and responsibilities.
Your job will be to review reports from the chairs of governance bodies, as well as other existing evidence. The aim of this review is to deliver insights on what the governance bodies have done, and how they have gone about their work, relative to their current roles and responsibilities.
This will be a systematic, desk-based review. It requires the ability to assess a large amount of information to derive evidenced-based insights.
Skills
- Knowledge of pensions including recent relevant work experience in pensions
- An ability to see the big picture and to extract key evidenced-based insights from across large amounts of information
- Good team working skills, for example in working with other team members to agree on areas for focus during your review
- React well to constructive challenge
- Good numerical and analytical skills, including data analysis and gap analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The discipline to structure your work and meet agreed deadlines
- Sound judgement, effective decision making and able to demonstrate personal accountability
