Resource Long Term Workforce Planner

A Resource Long Term Workforce Planner is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence business.

Overview of the Resource Long Term Workforce Planner contract role

Prepare a long term 10-year workforce plan for IM&T and Site & Facilities departments reporting into the Governance Manager. Engaging with key stakeholders to forward plan and assess skill levels required to meet the programme of work.

Review career frameworks and benchmark skills across the market.

Key skills required for the Resource Long Term Workforce Planner

  • Require a person who is able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent analysis skills, good communication and stakeholder management and who has an ability to work through detailed information and articulate it simply.
  • Must have good numerical skills and the ability work with spread sheets.
  • Workforce planning/resource planning, ideally has developed career structures or worked with skills profiles.
  • Familiarity with the skills requirements of Information Technology would be an advantage.
  • Experience of MS Excel and PowerPoint required, general IT office skills.

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
