Manufacturing Engineer
Cheltenham
12 Months Contract
£40 p/h
Role Summary:
- Engineering associated with the Manufacturing Process. Position requiring understanding of concepts, methods and procedures.
- Working with existing Team providing support in a Production environment to Production Operations and rework.
Key Activities:
- Production based Technical Support for Operations and Rework
- Creation/Amendment of new or existing build documentation/tooling/processes.
- Interprets data and acts as technical authority for build process authoring and tooling selection. Recommends actions using Engineering knowledge and experience/judgement. Influences Design for Manufacture. Identify and implement the delivery of continuous improvement and the transfer of best practice.
Essential responsibilities:
- Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
- Interact and work well with people from the business unit across all functions including direct team and Team Leader.
- Define and control production process including tooling and equipment.
- Validating build of product and ensuring stable manufacturing readiness.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or a high school diploma/GED with proven years of experience in Manufacturing) or equivalent knowledge & experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft and PDF tools.
- Knowledge of FAI, MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level), PFMEA
