Maintenance Engineer
3 Month initial contract

£15.00 - £20.00 p/h Dependent on experience
Responsibilities of Position:
- Provide Maintenance cover on both electrical and mechanical basis
- Good understanding of operation and use of PLC's. Ideally, with a recognised certificate but not essential
- Have a "Hands on approach" to all tasks
- Must be able to work with both production and engineering departments on different projects.
- Ability to work with sub-contractors on defining tasks to be completed.
- Planning and organising the use of outside contractors to maintain our manufacturing processes
- Ensuring Honeywell standards for H&S are applied to all contract work
- Helping to organise and sustain the maintenance department to 5S standards
- Chemical waste disposal
- Supporting all H&S initiatives
- Managing Preventative Maintenance software
- Providing Preventative Maintenance schedule to relevant production areas
- Helping to write Preventative Maintenance procedure
- Utilise HOS tools where appropriate & strive to continually improve the quality of service provided to customers.
- Any other duties not specified as required by the business.

Attributes/Skills Required/Sought:
- Flexible
- C. literate
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willing to learn new skills (Training will be provided)
- Knowledge of machinery related safety circuits to EN 199
Experience/Education Required/Sought:
- Maintenance apprenticeship
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations - preferred
- Minimum BTEC ONC/OND
- Qualified for the design, inspection and testing of electrical circuits
