Operational Buyer wanted for our Zurich based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- University Degree business science or equivalent along with several years of experience in operational procurement with basic contracting, eSourcing and spot buying
- Know-how in supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs in addition to pharmaceutical Industry experience
- Good command of enterprise systems, procurement and eSourcing tools besides of knowledge in MS Office and business systems such as Ariba, Emptoris, SAP
- Excellent communication and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability in translation of business requirements into procurement operations with focus on customer service
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
Your tasks:
- Supporting Admin and DD process, including arranging trainings with DD team along with consolidating data and managing small volume projects
- Maintaining contract upload, contract approvals and policy exceptions in addition to collaborating on a day-to-day basis with the Transactional Procurement team to ensure that the Transactional component of the procurement process is delivered
- Managing payment terms exceptions to 90 days standard as well as driving activities to improve CH PO Compliance rate
- Understanding of end user requirements as received directly or via the Local Procurement Partner coupled with translating requirements of business requestor to Procurement activities, providing appropriate challenges to demand
- Performing implementation of new processes and technologies under guidance from Procurement Lead
