Description
We are looking for a Financial Analyst with a background in IFRS to work for a Financial Services firm in Luxembourg.
As Financial Analyst, in Financial Control, you will be involved in the closing of the financial accounts on a monthly basis and participate to the preparation of the reporting to the regulators and to their Head Office.
Responsibilities
- Execution of a certain number of daily and monthly tasks related to the financial control and monthly close of the Bank, in IFRS, across a diverse set of areas
- Preparation of accurate and timely submissions required for SAP FC reporting, including intragroup reporting and reconciliation
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely FINREP reporting to CSSF/ECB and BCL statistical reporting, including implementation of new reporting requirements as required
- Support the month-end reconciliation of the balance sheet, and review of transitory accounts
Essential Skills
- Post-secondary degree majoring in finance or accounting.
- 4+ years experience in a finance and/or accounting role.
- Strong accounting & IFRS Knowledge
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to ensure data integrity of submission
- Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member under pressure.
- Ability to work with deadlines during peak periods.
- Proactive attitude
- Fluent in French & English
Skills that would be nice to have
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with a financial institution's systems, accounting processes, procedures and reporting cycle
