Scrum Master/Project Manager (data)
Dunwoody, GA
12 month contract

Education/Experience
Bachelor degree in IT, finance or related discipline
5-7 years of progressive work-related experience, particularly Project Management
CSM and PMP certification - preferred, but not mandatory
Financial systems experience a plus

Skills and Competencies
Experience with Data Architecture, Business Intelligence and Data Integration projects preferred
Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals; no specific methodology requirements needed, but knowledge and understanding of Agile delivery methodologies is a plus
Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics
Demonstrated consultative skills and the ability to influence others
Expert/competent knowledge of scrum best practices
Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills - will be communicating with multiple stakeholders
Proficiency with all MS Office applications, familiarity with Clarity, MS Project, Visio or other PM tools

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Champion assigned project(s): clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required
Recommend best solutions/strategy based on understanding of business issues, communicate these solutions to various groups to drive project success
Manage expectations, anticipate operational and tactical risks and track them
Manage and track project budget, forecast and resources
Coach the team towards continuous improvement
Partner with the Delivery Manager or tech lead to understand the technical best practices and be an advocate in achieving those practices
Work with the Product Owner on a continual basis to refine and prioritize the backlog.
Facilitate sprint planning that results in a team commitment to the sprint objectives.
Schedule and facilitate all ceremonies within the Scrum Framework - Stand Up, Sprint Planning, Review/Demo, Backlog Refinement, Mid-Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
Facilitate team retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Also responsible for pro-actively working with the team to implement the improvements identified.
Build, develop, and grow cross functional relationships across technology groups and business domains
Serve as an agent of change throughout organizational transformation and/or change management activities
