Your New role :-
To be eligible for this position, the individual will have several years of experience in project management of small to mid-size IT infrastructure projects and of minor to medium complexity. The candidate will have acquired a good basis of project management skills and is familiar with Project Management methodologies like PMI or Prince2. Furthermore, he or she is hands-on with various project management tools for planning, resource management, tracking etc
The Project Manager within leads a combination of small to mid-sized infrastructure projects of minor to medium complexity for one or multiple clients.
The Project Manager is able to work independently and take the full end-to-end responsibility for her / his projects. Within this level, the Project Manager will get him / herself familiar with general project delivery expectations and requirements of specific clients and as such, should be able to build a trusted relationship with the client. This will also allow the Project Manager to improve his / her soft skills and gradually pick up more complex or bigger projects.
The acquired experiences should allow the Project Manager to start playing basic coaching roles while still growing towards a higher maturity level in project management. The Project Manager will also be expected to follow more training that lead to PMI certificates and PMI accreditations.
Your Skills and Qualifications :-
Essential Skills :-
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience with coordinating IT infrastructure activities as an Associate Project Manager, a Technical Team Leader, line Manager or equivalent function.
- Good knowledge of English (oral and written).
- Good documentation and presentation skills.
- Good technical knowledge of various IT domains such as Windows, Unix, Linux, - Mainframe, Middleware, Storage, Telecom, Security, etc.
- Strong client- and service-oriented mindset.
- Good knowledge of Project Management practices and methodologies (e.g. PMBOK or Prince2), planning tools, etc.
- Understands the objectives related to the project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective. Individual is able to make project trade-offs.
- Strong and proven soft skills (team building, motivation, communication, influencing, negotiation, trust building, conflict management, coaching, leadership, decision- making, etc).
- Experience with functional people management in a matrix organization or as a line manager.
- Flexible to travel, if and as required.
