Mods and Complex Projects Manager
A Project Manager is required to work on a twelve month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire.
This is a 12-month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Projects Manager contract role
The role exists to deliver UTP Production Panel an Environmental Control System (ECS) Filter Modification. It is necessary to provide regular updates as required, lead supplier related activities and ensure any changes to the delivery plan are communicated to Boeing.
Ensure successful CDR (Critical Design Review) for the mod and deliver the prototype to plan.
This is a critical role managing customer relationships with the end client and suppliers on the mods programmes and it is a complex and challenging role.
Responsibilities
- UTP Production Panel delivery - Project Management lead for the UTP (Utility Test Panel) modification programme
- Provide regular updates as required. (Also monitor Link16 embodiment programme which will determine the embodiment window for UTP)
- Lead supplier related activities and ensure any changes to the delivery plan are communicated to Boeing.
- Environmental Control System (ECS) Filter Modification - Project management lead for ECS modification programme
- Develop and manage the Internal plan.
- Lead supplier related activities and delivery programme, ensuring any changes are communicated to the end client.
- CDR (Critical Design Review) Activities-develop a CDR programme, lead the activities leading up to the CDR, presentation material etc.
- Following delivery of the prototype - develop the programme into production phase
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
