A 2 month contract is currently on offer for a SAP Functional Expert to join our Queensland State Government Department based in Brisbane CBD.
The SAP Functional Expert will be required to provide business analysis expertise to solve complex problems in corporate applications; Undertake cross-skilling activities within the HR and SAP team, and provide expert SAP configuration advice and content knowledge of the current and future solutions
Further to this, the SAP HR Functional Expert will be required to ensure that Queensland Governments integrated solution is properly designed, configured, developed, documented, implemented, maintained and reviewed in order to provide ongoing best practice and quality service to clients.
Additional Key Responsibilities of the SAP HR Functional Expert will be as follows;
- Analyse business requirements and system specifications and provide strategic expertise to staff and management to ensure specifications are aligned to business requirements;
- Analyse and solve complex system problems to provide innovative solutions to business requirements in the delivery of support to completion of project work in required timeframes;
- Complete system design, specification, configuration, unit testing and maintenance of solutions supported and associated documentation in compliance with relevant standards;
- Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing management of processes and solutions for archiving data supported applications in a manner to enable future access, to meet and support the new and ongoing business requirements of clients;
- Consult with and provide expert advice to the business owners in relation to ongoing enhancement and development of the corporate system applications;
- Demonstrated experience in managing system updates and upgrades (Sync/Enhancement packs), including the development of functional specifications and other solution documentation, and business cases for system maintenance and enhancements;
- Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to develop and maintain effective working relationships and the integrity of the overall integrated solution; and
- Contribute to effective, client focussed teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members within the team, and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to quality and customer service;
To be carefully considered for this role, we are seeking to engage a suitable candidate demonstrating the following key areas of technical competencies;
- Knowledge and experience with emerging HR technologies (for example: ESS/MSS, Nakisa)
- Extensive knowledge and previous experience (particularly Government experience) in configuration of SAP HR;
- Extensive functional knowledge of SAP PA/PD/OM and Payroll modules both ECC6 and 4.6B
