Project Engineer

Midlands (Some travel to Filendre at a later stage)
Pontoon has received a fantastic opportunity with one of the UK's leading Utility companies for a Project Engineer to join a major Utilities project based in the Midlands and South Wales.
I'm looking to speak with experienced self-starting, highly motivated Project Engineers. You'll be required to lead on behalf of my client for two key Gas Transmission schemes currently in flight where you'll report into the Lead Project Manager.
Day to Day:
The candidate would be required to lead on all aspects of project management for these schemes including:
- Ensuring safe delivery of physical site works, coordinating the team and supervising key activities at site when required.
- Overall delivery responsibility to drive the schemes forward in line with current plans and programme.
- Management of project finances including accurate forecasting and risk register management to ensure key parameters such as in month, in year and budget vs sanction performance are adhered to.
- Manage and challenge MWC's and subcontractors to deliver the optimum solution in line with contract requirements.
- Maintain balance between cost, time and quality for the project to ensure solution is fit for purpose.
Ideally:
- You'll have gas industry experience and be conversant with HV electric motors (This is not mandatory but would aid for a fast transition into the role)
- Knowledge of SCO/91 and/or other permit systems would be useful
