Job Title: Subsurface data developer

Accountabilities
- Ensure good and precise communication to the end client
- Manage activities to SLA within Service Now.
- Act as the focal point between the Business and offshored data management services.
- Document any new service lines introduced.
- Datamining in MO's multiple data repositories.
Knowledge, skills and attributes
- Strong understanding of subsurface formats, eg 2- and 3D formats, both on-shore and off-shore and on-shore/shore well data, both in time and depth domain.
- Excellent understanding of Project management both in in Petrel and Openwork's
- Excellent Petrel skills (Project management and general use)
- Proficient in Openwork's (Project management load/export and general use)
- Proficient Linux skills: Scripting, general use eg using commands like mt, dd, tar, sftp
- Excellent understanding of tape formats - thus being able to write to and from tapes on the Linux platform, as well as being able to troubleshoot.
- Point of contact for the delivery of digital well data, ensuring that incoming and outgoing data transmittals are tracked.
- Provide data submission and retrieval service to designated data stores for digital and hard copy data.
- Data submission to partners and government authorities where required
- Analyze data loaded to ensure all values are correct and compliant with standards.
- Assist creating, updating and maintaining DM processes, procedures and standards
- Communicate with Petrophysicist/Geologists/Reservoir Engineers to assess and fulfil their work requests.
- Fulfil the Data governance role of Data Custodian for well and subsurface data.
- Be proactive in pursuing continuous quality improvement in the well and subsurface data loading process.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures, and work in a structured manner.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
