Description
We are looking for a talented interim SAP BI Manager who can work as a functional leader responsible for ensuring the client's large enterprise data warehouse and Business Intelligence platform is best utilised. This includes driving functional capability and adopting best practices to deliver operational excellence in a heterogeneous BI landscape.
This role works primarily with information and solution architects, business partners, the service delivery manager and the BI team - currently consisting of business analysts, developers and the BI technology platform owner.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Take ownership, drive performance and operational excellence of the BI team
- Plan and develop change initiatives aligned with the Digital Strategy, IT Strategy, business service and architecture roadmaps, for example, in the areas of team development, organization, process, governance
- Drive these changes to expand or improve functional capabilities, the quality and value delivery of the BI team
- Support business partners, solution architects and project managers in providing supply of functional capabilities to fulfil the business demands in the right time, cost and quality
- Actively seek out new ways of working, functional trends and advocate for change within the client's BI team
Key Competencies
- More than 5 years of leadership experience in SAP Business Intelligence or related discipline
- Knowledge and experience in developing and driving organisational change, including team development, governance and process to improve quality and value delivery
- Broad knowledge of the Business Intelligence disciplines and market trends
- Strong communication skills
- Strong commercial understanding
- Preferable to have hands-on experience in a variety of BI related roles
- Preferable to have knowledge of Microsoft BI software offerings
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
- Ability to travel
