Senior Director/Digital TransformationOur client, a leading ICT company based in Dubai, is recruiting for a Senior Director/Digital Transformation to join their telecom project in UAE.

Principal functions: Oversees, reviews and influences the development of each OPCO’s Technology Strategy and evolution towards the digitalization as per the directions of CTO-International. Guides the OPCOs in ensuring the alignment of their digital technology roadmap with the external industry trends (industry trends, technology evolution, standards developments) with respect to the top management’s desired level of digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, implement and control the Technology Evolution and Strategy of each OPCO relative to the different technology areas to ensure effective Digital Transformation.
- Demonstrate leadership across different stakeholders, internally and externally to ensure that the planning and implementation of strategy and evolution roadmap of the OPCOs are customized towards their individual digital transformation requirements.
- Represent the Client in key Technology Evolution industry events and conferences.
- Ensure that the strategy of each OPCOs are aligned with how the technology is evolving externally in standard bodies, with the vendor roadmap and with the best practices of the world’s leading operators.
- Develop customized strategic deliverables for the Digital transformation of the Core, Fixed and Mobile Network of each OPCO based on the professional advice of the teams handing technology analysis, operations and synergy.
- Report on technology tradeoffs and economics of selected technologies relevant to technological evolution of the Core, Fixed and Mobile Networks of each OPCO in coordination with the teams handing technology analysis, operations and synergy.
- Ensure consistency in and adherence to the Digital transformation strategy established for each OPCO.
- Provide the CTO-International clear objectives and targets and monitor the implementation.
- Generates professional reports with thorough analysis for presentation to the top management.
Qualifications:
- Holds Bachelor’s Degree in Telecom Engineering or equivalent. Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree is preferred.
- Min 6-8 years of experience in technology planning and/or development.
- Expert industry awareness and business acumen.
- Expert and broad knowledge in Technology Evolution & Strategy.
- Expert understanding of the telecom industry.
- Very familiar with applicable international standardization governing telecom networks.
- Expert in network planning and development skills for Technology Evolution & Strategy.
- Proficient knowledge of telecom operators’ Mobile network and business models.
- Strong team leadership and communication skills (oral and written).
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
