Do you have a strong background and knowledge in investment risk gained from within the asset management sector? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen with a prestigious global asset management firm in Edinburgh for an initial contract until the end of September 2018.
The successful applicant will assist a project team responsible for making changes to key Risk Systems by conducting and co-ordinating testing activities.
Core requirements:
- Sound understanding of Fixed Income products and related terminologies
- Strong understanding of investment risk analytics such as tracking error, VaR
- Expertise of risk attribution systems (knowledge of Point, Bloomberg is a plus)
- CFA, FRM, or similar investment/risk management qualification preferred
- Software Testing in an agile environment
- MS SQL Server database skills
- Good understanding of risk factors and risk models
- Asset management industry experience
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments and markets, especially Fixed Income
- Experience of Barclays POINT/Bloomberg PORT+ systems and Fixed Income products (including derivatives) desirable
Core responsibilities:
- Working closely with Fixed Income Investment Risk Manager to coordinate testing approaches, execute testing, analyse the results between the two systems (Point and Port)
- Working as a member of the project team
- Clear reporting of the testing status/results through test execution
- Working closely with the other members of the project team to assess the most efficient way for project delivery
