Description

SAP Project Manager/Director

Role:

  • Oversee the delivery of large transformation projects
  • Manage all aspects of the project including planning, reporting, risks and issues management, financials and contract management as described in Project Management scope above
  • Tendering and vendor management including full commercial life cycle from requirements gathering, RFP development, tender process, contracting through contract completion
  • Develop Project Plans and Schedule
  • Monitoring and tracking of activities in accordance with the plan/schedule.
  • Track project deliverable progress and ensure that all project deliverables are accepted by relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report project costs and budgets. Review and recommend approval of invoices received from third parties in relation to the project based on deliverable acceptance.
  • Setup a formal Change Request Process to manage changes to scope.
  • Provide periodic status updates to highlight any delays, risk and issues to the projects to Project Sponsor on project progress, issues and risks.
  • Manage and report risk assessed at the project team level, identifying potential risks, assessing and continually monitoring total exposure. Recommend risk mitigation actions.
  • Manage and report issues relating to the project in a timely manner. Ensure issue escalation mechanisms are defined and followed to enable timely issue resolution.
  • Plan and coordinate Quality Assurance (QA) activities during the project and track QA findings to closure.
  • Manage the change: stakeholder identification, engagement, alignment, and communication. Develop Change Management Strategy and plan. Execute Change Management plan.
  • Follow up on day-to-day project activities in alignment with the project plan and scope.
  • Set up and implement program governance framework. Establish Governance cadence.

Experience requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in managing large SAP ERP implementation programs
  • Experience in solution architecting and integration design in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Must be PMP or Prince2 certified
  • Must have strong experience managing large projects and stakeholders across different entities/division/departments.
