Insurance Accountant - Technical Accounting - Finance - ACCA
KEY SKILLS
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, TM1, Hyperion and Blackline desirable
- Experienced MS Excel user (pivots, if statements, lookups and experience of working with large amounts of data) with a good command of other MS Office applications
- Insurance Accountancy expertise (one with strong reinsurance experience)
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Ability to work and communicate well with key stakeholders across multiple locations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Pro-active and dynamic individual who can successfully operate in a complex environment
- Consultancy background would be ideal
THE ROLES
I currently have multiple Accountancy roles my client is looking to fill. The business units to be cover include Reinsurance, Companies and regulatory.
Duties include:
- Deliver outwards Reinsurance accounting for the monthly and quarterly close process
- Support the monthly and quarterly results submission to senior management within the finance team
- Take on some managerial duties when required
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and posting of underwriting and non-underwriting journals
- Reconciliations between different systems as well as reconciling/investigating balance sheet accounts
- Support the monthly and quarterly results production for submission to senior EO management and Group
- Assist in the production of the monthly and quarterly management reports, Group reporting packages and associated audit files
- Completing tasks for the on-line reconciliation tool (BlackLine)
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting close process, including preparation of Solvency II and Lloyd's returns
- Reconciliations between different returns as well as reconciling/investigating balances to understand movements
- Support messaging to senior EO management and Group
