Space Planner/Analyst
A leading UK consultancy is looking for an innovative Space Analyst to work develop and implement their space planning strategy. The successful candidate will manage the space planning function to grow business performance and deliver improved methods of working and making optimum use of space within the offices.
The team cover a portfolio comprising in excess of 1.2m square feet in 21 locations in the UK. The role requires initiative, innovation, flexibility and discretion, suiting an efficient organiser with strong managerial skills. The job holder will work closely and liaise with staff within the business, Property and Workplace plus the wider Central Services functions from admin to senior management level.
Key responsibilities:
* Ensuring office plans are up to date, appraising and working to customer needs
* Briefing, planning, and creating options that are practical and creative
* Identify and manage all key metrics, making suggestions and ensuring timely delivery
* Build an effective space planning team and provide direction, support and training
* Anticipating the client's needs - modelling and analysis
* Generating the core product - space planning
* Communication, relationship building and working together
Key skills and experience:
* Good use of AutoCAD in 2D
* Excellent space measurement systems
* An understanding of drawing conventions and layering system
* Good presentation skills - ability to communicate to all levels of the business
* Surveying skills - best practice survey techniques, ability to transfer information to drawings and internal building surveys
* Excellent analytical skills: ability to understand the output of data and take creditble interpretations of the data
