Contract Finance Analyst
Overview:
The Finance Analyst will be a key part of the UK Finance team, reporting to the UK Head of Finance (FP&A).
The role will require that the individual:
- Build frameworks (models and reports) to analyse performance of the UK business, identify and commercialise opportunities.
- Develop insights based on quantitative and qualitative research, and collaborating with the UK business units to outline strategic, pricing, and tactical recommendations.
- Deep dive on key business, financial, merchant and consumer metrics to develop insights and strategy.
- Provide finance forecast and budget support to the finance team in terms of managing financials
- Support improvements to processes and systems to streamline efficiency
- Track the performance of our merchant portfolio and work pro-actively with the relationship managers to understand trends and upsell opportunities
- Build, manage and review business cases and quantify the impact of the various sales relationship management initiatives and report on these to the Organization
Education Required:
- Master's Degree or equivalent with a 2.1 degree in a relevant discipline (math's/finance/analytical bias)
- CIMA/ACA qualified preferred or equivalent professional experience
- MBA disciplined may be an advantage but not a requirement
Experience Required:
- Ideally you are currently in a similar role or have previously had 5+ years' experience in an analytical role with a finance bias
- eCommerce or payments industry experience may be an advantage but not essential
- You have spent ideally 5+ years in a financial role ideally in FP&A.
- You are a team focussed individual, who relishes challenges and have a thirst to contribute. Someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Knowledge Required:
- Financial practises and financial analytics are essential to the role, including GAP analysis and ability to analyse data to spot key insights
- Knowledge and expertise of SQL programming and Essbase is highly desirable
- High level Microsoft office Excel and PowerPoint
