Client
My client a leading insurer with global presence is currently recruiting for an Accountant to join them on a contract basis in London. You'll be joining a dynamic accounting team, dedicated in providing best in class account and reporting services to the business.
Your initial assignment will be ensuring all Sox revenue, client and matter controls are successfully operated and reviewed. Will also have responsibility for ensuring all queries from internal clients are responded to quickly and accurately.
Skills
Essential
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Good understanding of internal control systems
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong spreadsheet skills
- Good eye for detail
- Good data handling skills
Preferred
- Good understanding of Peoplesoft
- Good understanding of Elite billing system
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Business to ensure all revenue recognised is fully compliant in line with corporate revenue recognition standards
- Review and approve client and project setup requests
- Source appropriate evidence to support project setup process
- Ensure client information in accounting and legal systems is correct
- Creation of revenue loads
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Undertake detailed internal control Sarbanes Oxley (s404) testing where requested
- Ad hoc revenue compliance tasks
