Project Manager - Insurance - Pensions - 6 months - Edinburgh - £259/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Project Manager to join a Pensions programme for an initial 6 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

'Pension Schemes operating the Relief At Source (RAS) method of collecting tax relief submit annual RPSCOM100Z returns to HMRC. Currently these are submitted across a number of different pension schemes within the bank's estate using either Secure Electronic Transfer (SET) or email spreadsheet.
Currently the annual RPSCOM100Z returns are submitted as follows.
Secure Electronic Transfer (SET) - P7714 (PAS, ALIS RA, ALIS P4L, MOP, OB); P7717 (PAS AVIVA); P5240 (CAPSIL) and P8360 (LIFE) (1 x Open Book (SW) and 3 x Closed Book).
By email spreadsheet - P (P systems); P (CPAS CM) and P3810 (CPAS HFS). (3 x Closed Book)
From the 2019 submission (5 July 2019), these returns must include the additional data item of Residency Tax Status (RTS) indicator and can only be submitted digitally via Secure Data Exchange Service (SDES), replacing the current submission methods.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

To drive, lead and deliver complex projects ranging in size and value. To actively manage stakeholders ensuring key decisions are made timeously and delivery plans are achiveved. To operate within the agreed risk and governance structure of the business unit. To actively manage project costs and deliver a fair outcome for customers.
Reporting to the Programme Manager, the candidate will work as part of a Programme Team but with responsibility for delivering projects within that Programme.

Financial Services experience as a minimum
Experience of managing £m budgets

Desirable Skills and Experience

Knowledge of Insurance Pension platforms and mailings.
