Change Manager - Banking - Workplace Strategy (Agile/Flexible Working) - 5 months - Edinburgh - £405/day

A top retail bank based in Edinburgh is currently seeking a Change Manager to join a Workplace Stategy programme for an initial 5 month period.

Overview of the Programme/Project

  • This programme of work is responsible for defining the Group's office location strategy and for shaping and leading the cultural change and operating models associated with the implementation of flexible and agile working practices to achieve an optimised office location strategy. The role holder will be the primary contact and link for all of the suppliers such as property, business continuity and communications into the Division and its associated business units for all of the Agile delivery to ensure there is always consistent stakeholder management for these colleagues.
  • The programme requires an experienced Change Manager to lead on implementing the behavioural change programme to enable the successful delivery of Agile working.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will report to the Programme Manager for Agile delivery within the Workplace Strategy Programme.

  • Engaging key stakeholders and champions to understand current ways of working
  • Coaching leaders and teams to embrace new ways of working
  • Managing change implementation plans, dependencies and associated RAID's
  • Aligning and supporting delivery partners to ensure milestones are met
  • Working with senior leaders and champions to embed agile working practises
  • Work with the Business Units to ensure their TO-BE office and agile working practice is fit for purpose and clearly articulate how they will prepare and embed agile work practices in readiness for moving to new Agile floors

Essential Skills and Experience

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience;

    • Experience in delivering cultural change
    • Delivering agile working environments and practices
    • Experience in working with the business on new concepts in the ways of working
    • Experience of delivery training and upskilling of people to create colleagues who are champions of change objectives who can promote and train others within the organisation

    Experience of implementing Agile Working

    • Highly literate, strong interpersonal skills oral and written and stakeholder engagement at all levels
    • Understand and experience of a programme/project life cycle and the related governance such as RAIDS
    • Facilitation of workshops, comfortable with wide ranging behaviours
    • Coaching skills to enable leaders and teams to create new ways of working
    • Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
    • Ability to plan own workload and prioritise tasks;
    • Ability to proactively seek solutions and drive through to completion;
    • Co-ordinate implementation and delivery plans in a timely manner
    • Attention to detail in managing plans and project management including Microsoft Project and RAID management

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience of change programmes within the financial industry
  • Workspace floor design
