Office Based Account Manager: B2B Fuel Cards: Global Energy Co.

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for an Office Based Account Manager to join this well established retail team, working with Business2Business fuel card partners.

This role is part of a 12 people strong direct business sales team, the head office being in London and with members of the team based across the UK.

About the Role:

This Office Based Account Manager role is a growth role in the organization, expected to protect and grow value through excellent account management through telephone engagement. This role is part of the office based team (3 other OBAMs, local marketing & finance team) in London.

Activities:

  • Develop a clear and articulated operational plan to deliver volume, margins and agreed growth targets
  • Focus on high probability opportunities, acquisition of new business in line with CF strategy and customer banding
  • Proactively plan and execute customer structured calls/journey plan to maximize customer facing time and to provide a high level of service with a focus on retaining/expanding existing business relationships.
  • Benchmark for customers' calls is 60-100 per week
  • Grow business through value/up selling based on a robust understanding of the customer's business challenges and the range of Customer Value Propositions (CVPs)
  • Carry out price negotiations with existing customers, preparing quotations and proposals and agree on all operational requirements including price, contract and payment terms
  • Consistently apply and role model Sales 1st Standards especially in utilising CRM tools

About You:

  • Experienced Account Manager
  • Previous experience of fuelcard business is not a must but certainly beneficial
  • Resilience, drive and energy to exceed sales targets to support our growth ambition as well as working collaboratively with the rest of the team and internal stakeholders to deliver highest value
  • Previous economics experience/background would be beneficial
  • Selling & Negotiating - Skill
  • Customer Relationship Management/Account Management - Knowledge
  • Value Chain Understanding - Knowledge
  • Customer Value Proposition - Knowledge
