Role: Facilities Project Engineer - Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Cheltenham
Duration: 18 months
My Client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join the team based in Cheltenham for an 18 month project.
In this role you will be part of a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake a campus re-layout/upgrade. You will be working directly with maintenance/lean/project team/manufacturing to drive closure on the planning and execution of this project. This role will be required to draw multiple revisions of layout to provide proof of concept to customers and to execute the final approved project drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate project scope & schedule with internal & external customers, carefully delineating needs from wants.
- Own and deliver against agreed project deliverables, budgets and timelines.
- Identify, manage and drive down project risks and issues. Carry out ongoing reviews of project status and maintain programme.
- Coordinate and manage all contractor works, in close relation to production, to ensure that business continuity is maintained during project works.
- Able to read, interpret, edit and draw floor plans using AutoCAD
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in an engineering discipline; or appropriate demonstrated experience
- Strong Manufacturing background; Deployment of production lines, CAD layout.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Self-motivated
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people is essential together with the ability to demonstrate and implement innovative solutions
- Possess excellent communication skills
Desired characteristics:
- Industrial electrical infrastructure knowledge/design
- Industrial HVAC understanding
- Leadership experience in managing/maintaining facilities, utilities and associated infrastructure
