Project Manager - Future Engineering Services PM
A Project Manager is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Telford.
This is a 6-month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Project Manager contract role
A Project Manager is required to be involved in all phases of the life cycle from concept and business winning through to delivery and operations, and lead and manage cross-functional teams to meet customer and business objectives.
Key skills required for the Project Manager contract.
Essential:
- Managing projects in a multi-functional environment to meet time, cost and quality objectives
- Generation of external customer proposal documentation
- Leading project and/or cross-functional teams
- An understanding of the business context of project delivery
- Dealing with customers and suppliers in support of project objectives
- Good understanding of Planning Monitoring and Control principals using tools such as MS Project and ERP Systems
Desirable:
- Project management qualification from an accredited scheme such as PRINCE or APM or a company equivalent
- Experience of managing projects in different phases of the project life cycle
- Experience of managing complex product related projects
- Experience of the defence sector
- Experience of bid management
The role is based in Telford, Shropshire - commutable from Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Stafford, Market Drayton, Whitchurch and Oswestry
