Role: Mechanical Supervisor
Location: Rosyth, Scotland
Duration: 6 months
My Client is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join the team based in Rosyth for a 6 month project.
Responsibilities:
- To manage all aspects of Health & Safety under your control or influence as part of your daily business by the use of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Point of Work Safety
- Assessments (POWSA) safety walk rounds and toolbox talks.
- To lead the people under your control in line with the company policies and standards, ensuring effective utilisation, communications and the continual review of the training and development needs of your team.
- To take ownership of your budget (man hours) set targets and undertake continual reviews to ensure your activities within the project are delivered within your budget whilst providing early indications of any issues or corrective actions required.
- To ensure you provide accurate time recording (bookings and progress) against the project activities undertaken by your team and take responsibility to raise and correct any issues arising.
- To use the management tools available to continually monitor performance against cost and schedule for your team, & take corrective action where the analysis highlights the requirement
Key competencies:
- Recognised apprenticeship and qualifications
- Previous experience in leadership role
- Ability to drive work packages, liaise with ACA and sub- contractors.
- Ability to produce dimensioned sketches, red lined drawing changes in conjunction with engineering, fault find and add value to engineering solutions
- Good communication skills including IT literate
- Ability to work within QEC management team, with ability to achieve team & individual goals.
- Ability to deliver on operational requirements in a timely and effective manner.
