Description
Marine Welders are required - multiple positions - initial 3-month contract plus extensions - Cowes, Isle of Wight
Working within a busy aluminium boat building environment, you will be required to prepare and assemble metal components for welding in to a large passenger ferry
Day to day duties:
- Using hand and machine tools
- Assembly and pre-fabrication of frames, girders
- fitting Shell plates
- Welding of metal fabricated items using MIG,
- Working with aluminium some stainless steel
Knowledge/Experience:
Must have aluminium experience
- Apprenticeship or similar training as a Welder with proof of previous coding within last 3 years
- Experience of working with a wide range of instructions/drawings requiring some interpretation
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality standards and meet production deadline
- Welders will be required to prove themselves and pass Lloyds coding
- Maybe required to work night shift with uplift
Initial Contract is 3 months, plus extensions
Monday to Friday - Saturdays and Sundays maybe required at manager's discretion
Rate of pay:
£16 - £19.00/h Ltd/Umbrella co
