Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Contract/Permanent: Contract
Duration: 3 months
Rate: Negotiable DOE
Summary;
A key client of mine are looking to bring in a Senior Engineer on a contract basis starting ASAP. Your role will be to improve, detail and productionise existing mechanical designs and to take an active role in the design for product approvals activity leading to Aero and marine approvals.
To be considered for the role i'm looking for the following;
* 5 or more years experience in a relevant industry job working on leading edge product development or mechanical design for the telecoms, data communications, or aerospace industry.
* Mechanical design from specification and detailing of manufacturing drawings.
* Working from experience and with suppliers to improve designs for manufacturability.
* Extensive experience of 3D modelling and drafting in Solidworks.
* Experience of hands on mechanical integration, capturing lessons learnt and feeding them back into designs.
* Ability to capture requirements and distil them into a written specification.
* Some remote work will also be considered.
