Role: Financial Controls Analyst (Audit Experience)
Location: Chesterfield
Duration: 2 Months with possibility of extension
Rate: £450- £550 per Day
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- The Balance Sheet and Controls Analyst will plan, carry out, document, and draw conclusions on a piece of assurance work over balances which are being migrated as part of a finance system transformation programme.
- The assurance work will include reviewing and performing reconciliations, extracting and analysing large volumes of data, developing own testing strategies, liaising with the business to gather evidence, and formally documenting all findings and conclusions in a suitable and understandable format.
- The Analyst will be responsible for leading specific areas of the review and managing to the required deadline. The Analyst will also be responsible for managing the workload of any supporting staff on the project (maximum 2 people).
- The assurance work will also involve working with SAP and understanding SAP interfaces.
- The Analyst will report and present findings to the Financial Accounting & Governance Manager and other stakeholders as required.
- Qualified accountant
- Experience in performing internal or external audit work
- Understanding of SAP
- Experience challenging reconciliations, identifying independent support
- Understanding of financial statement impact of risks and controls
- Comfortable with stakeholder management and holding regular workshops/driving workshop scenarios
