Description

Are you a project manager with strong working knowledge of E2E products and B2C video services? Our leading global broadcasting client is seeking a Video CPE Project Manager to assist with the technical delivery of their entertainment products and services across Europe.

The role is a key project management position requiring experience in and specifically focussing on Go To Market project management for one or more of the following types of projects:

  • CPE hardware and software development, porting and/or deployment
  • OTT video centric platforms development, porting and/or deployment
  • Full video eco-systems greenfield and scale up deployment projects
  • In-flight life cycle management development projects
  • Generic software development life cycle management for video applications, based on Agile processes

The right candidate will become the Go To technical & project management contact for the Global Delivery Office for both in flight product developments and the overall technology strategy, to support growth and customer proposition plans around the Entertainment portfolio. You will be working closely with peers across the wider Technology & Innovation group.

Leading a large team in a project Matrix structure, you will need to motivate and inspire the collective talent across all markets and align individuals around the Customer Value Proposition. This role is pivotal in bringing together E2E products and services at the system integration activity level, including drawing in IT, Core, Access, Mobile & Technology groups.

You will build a compelling and differentiated service across the entire customer journey, not just the core product functionality.

Further skills are needed to balance the tension between the ambition of product teams and technical teams in order to achieve time to market, quality, and business case targets, and deliver products to the client's diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Accountabilities:

  • E2E delivery of all technology deliverables for the project
  • Define, implement, secure and track required delivery process
  • High focus on shift-left approach of all deliverables and deliverable commitment
  • Capability for Sr management reporting
  • E2E Requirements grooming and E2E release management
  • Coordinate technical delivery plan with E2E Arch
  • Liaise with central and country ops teams with regard to impact of technology changes
  • Responsible and leads technical delivery of the project throughout its lifetime, in coordination with technology teams and external vendors
  • Provides technical planning, coordination and reporting support for the project, represent technical workstream at project meetings

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong experience in E2E System Integration of B2C video services in the cable, satellite or telco industry, with an understanding from both the commercial & content side, and product development process
  • Good knowledge of CATV technologies, STB and DTV Middleware platforms and Video Delivery technologies
  • Further strong experience of delivery management within a large Pan-European B2C setting, with extensive knowledge and experience of technology development and delivery management methodologies
  • A deep understanding of entertainment technology & ecosystem, from CPE hardware and software to service platforms, user interfaces, Apps and media acquisition/management, processing, and distribution, and end-to-end content protection and security
  • Wide understanding of IP and broadcast networking as well as data center infrastructure
  • Basic technical knowledge and implementation experience around CPE hardware and software, Video encoding/transcoding, CAS, DRM, Video back-ends, workflows, CMS, security services, Search & Recommendations, Application Services, CDN, Ad Insertion, broadband data, home networking, TV, VoD, PVR, Access technology, and Internet technology related.
  • Good overall knowledge/familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including: Ethernet, IP, broadcast, transmission as well as most current IP communication protocols.
  • Good knowledge/familiarity with Audio and Video coding/decoding technologies
  • Good knowledge/familiarity with related IT systems (OSS & BSS), especially TR-069 and SNMP based CPE Management.

This will be a contract position of at least 6 months based in the Netherlands, with a daily rate of € dependent on experience.
