Safety and Compliance Manager, use of the MEL, Aviation Auditing, EASA-OPS, EU AOC

Location: Lancashire

Duration: 12 Months

Rate: £26.50 p/h

Clearance: BPSS Clearance (must be willing and eligible to undergo, prior to project start date)

My client, a global organisation, is currently looking for a Safety and Compliance Manager to assist with compliance monitoring that coincides with AMC1 ORO.GEN200 (a)(6). The successful Safety and Compliance Manager will make sure the activities of CAT (Civil Air Transport) are compliant and monitored with the suitable regulatory requirements, and will also have a formally recognised Training Course in Aviation Auditing. The role of Safety and Compliance Manager will require a strong knowledge of EASA Ops and Quality Management Systems within aviation. Previous experience in hazard identification within an airline operating environment would be required for this position, and a valid flight crew licence would be advantageous.

Essential skills;

  • Previous commercial flight crew experience under an EU AOC
  • Demonstrable experience of Aviation Safety
  • Extensive experience in Quality Management Systems within Aviation
  • Significant knowledge of Hazard Identification in an airline operating environment
  • Substantial experience of Aviation Auditing (and have undergone and passed a formally recognised Training Course) and reporting of findings
  • Ability to travel both within the UK and Internationally
