Corporate Communications Manager - External/Media Relations - Edinburgh

Dynamic and experienced Corporate Communications/External Communications Manager required for initial 7-month contract with a public sector client based in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will develop, manage and enhance the client's corporate relationship with external stakeholders, working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Chief Executive to deliver key strategic objectives. They will also be responsible for providing strategic media relations advice and support across the organisation.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating as a Senior Manager at strategic level
- Significant media relations experience, including the delivery of strategy
- Ability to develop and support high quality corporate relationships with external and internal stakeholders influencing and negotiating with others to achieve desired outcomes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective communication across all organisational levels, and via a range of media
- Experience in communications in a public-sector or political environment would be highly desirable
