Description

Our client are a large corporate, a market leader in their field and are looking for an experienced Procurement/Commercial Manager to join their team.

This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate. Our client is looking for someone who can come on board and lead the commercial and procurement function to maximise value for money through efficient and effective practices and in compliance with statutory guidelines.

The successful applicant will manage the clients commercial and procurement activities and develop the procurement strategy ensuring that projects are delivering in line with clients governance as well as industry standards and regulations. You will apply tendering procedures, compliance with requirements, policy, procedures and good practice and advise on commercial and procurement aspects of complex, high value projects ensuring quality of goods and services and vfm as well as taking responsibility for all aspects of agreements including negotiation, drafting and execution. The successful applicant will also ensure legal agreements are high quality, accurate, legally compliant and conduct/prepare commercial due diligence reports on prospective grant recipients and consortium members to support them in making high value decisions.

To be considered for this role you will be an experienced Procurement/Commercial Manager who is CIPS qualified and a strong knowledge of contract law and OJEU. You will also have a proven track record of strategic sourcing and procuring a wide range of services in a range of organisations.
